I was just thinking of Frog and Toad the other day. I think the key is remembering that both states are a normal part of life and come and go. Toad is temporary and don't to judge yourself for being in toad mode sometimes. I think the hardest thing in life is to let go of that inner critic.

If you need a lift, I just found out you can call for an affirmation from Louise Hay. I called this morning, and it was so nice and reassuring. It is the price of a normal phone call -- 760-431-3600

I love this post and I feel like this a lot of the time.

Oh, I adore Frog and Toad. My family quotes them often,"poop poop "when we are off in the car and sometimes we say, " there is nothing better than simply messing about in boats" - because they are so right, there really isn't.

There's this word in my head lately: stasis

2 : a state of static balance or equilibrium

It feels like, soon, the undercurrents will warm and the ice will begin to break free and flow. But not yet. Waiting.

I love this post, the book, and the sentiment expressed ... especially since I've struggled with myself recently ... sometimes posting silliness and other times managing to reach deep within and dredge up something more meaningful ... but since I don't have many "distractions" in my life (and since I did commit to the Blog 365 thing on one of my blogs in a moment of weakness) ... I push on and do what I can. It works for now.

I like the way you can arrange photos as you wish on an "awards page" in Typepad. The only way I can do something similar in Blogger is create an Awards Post and create a link in the sidebar.

I hope Nathan is feeling better soon ... and that you get some time to do whatever feels right.
Hugs and blessings,

Laura

I think you've mentioned Julia Cameron's Artist Way before - she talks a lot about the ebb and flow of creativity and how to gently push yourself to use momentum to carry you forward. I am just like you though, one spurt of creative energy and then 3 days of blah!
